Portrait of Jenna

16x20 pastel: Here's a portrait of Jenna another one of my daughters. Have done several of this same picture in pastel and oil. I have all three pencil portraits hanging in my office at work.

  1. Hi Allan,

You are just getting better and better! This portrait is fantastic. Portraiture is difficult as you are trying to capture not only the subject's likeness, but also a hint of their personality, which you have successfully done here. That is why I don't even attempt it. You should be very proud of your work. You have a lot of talent.

  2. Thanks so much John, so do you! I admire that you paint so often and so well. I work a full time job during the week and the only time I have to paint is the weekends if I can find time. I'm off this next week and priming some birch wood right now to start a painting filled week. Thanks again.
