Allan's Art in Arlington

Took on FDR today!

I did not know that he was the president that started NASA and DARPA.  I had always thought Kennedy.

Love drawing these presidents,  this one before my time, but cool mustache.

Chose a picture that reflected the stress and hard times of his time as president.

Enjoy this time period in American history!

Did portrait of the founder of FedEx where I have worked for 31 years.

Tried to find a pose that was not so common of him.

Captured Nixon before his Watergate scandal.  Seems much happier.

Continuing my presidential theme.

Another president.  Just on a roll.  I enjoy doing these quick pencil sketches.

With all the election madness I decided to do a portrait of a real president!

Got back into painting with oil after self portrait.  This is a work in progress but it's pretty close now.

Decided to try another self portrait in oil this time.   16x20 on canvas.  Used my facebook profile as reference pic!
