Allan's Art in Arlington

Did this as a commission for someone who recently lost their Bear. Done with pencils 12x16 on Bristol papers

Another portrait of a President!   This is pastel pencil on Ampersand board, a sandy surface that works great if the sand is there but any flat spots from erasing are impossible to cover.  Had a couple places i had to use fixative on, a spray that makes the surface kind of tacky and will hold the pigment.  11x14.

Did this as a commission for someone I work with.  Pastel pencil on sanded paper  11x14.  Loved working on this beautiful animal.  Love dogs.

This is a commission for someone as a wedding gift to the couple.   Very large at 24x19 and took awhile to cover it all.  First time using Pan Pastels for the background, made it so much nicer than covering with tip of pencil.

Did this for a friend I work with of his son.  Wanted two of them so I got to make the same mistakes twice!

Commission for an engaged couple to be married soon.  11x14 on Bristol paper in pencil. Did this for my daughter to give as a gift to the couple.

Jack Nicholson in pencil.

Another portrait of one of my favorite characters from the Andy Griffith show.  Love doing these old black and white shots. Bristol paper 24x19 various pencils.

Mother and daughter gone way too soon.  Gift for the family as comfort.

Birthday present for brother Jason from his wife.   Bristol 11x14 pencils.
